Deborah J. Watson is a dynamic leader in the digital technology and media landscape, with a multifaceted career in the film industry as a writer, producer, and director.

Watson’s leadership qualities emerged early, serving on her community’s chamber of commerce teen council and holding leadership positions in faith-based organizations and the Kansas State Leadership board. Her early involvement in performing arts, including theater, band, and choir, laid the foundation for her creative expression.

In 2006, Watson transitioned to film, establishing Studio 2.22 Film Productions and Impact 22, a philanthropic enterprise. She also founded The Branson International Film Festival, demonstrating her commitment to empowering fellow filmmakers.

As a writer, Watson’s credits include an episode of the TV mini-series “Ruby Unleashed” (2018), the feature film “Not Too Far from Here” (pre-production), and the award-winning short film “Taneycomo” (2016).
