Did you know that Darren Aronofsky dropped out of NYU his senior year? Yeah, he used his tuition money to make Pi. Yeah, you’re totally right. Film schools are a pointless waste of time. There’s almost no correlation between film school and a career in the film industry.
That is unless you’re looking at Film Connection Film School in Burlington, Vermont. Y’see the Film Connection isn’t like most film schools. It operates on an apprentice/mentor basis.
You’ll be paired with a working industry professional who is in the same field that you’d like to be in.
You’ll also be working with a Hollywood screenwriter to create the first draft of a screenplay that you’ll direct. Sound awesome? That’s because it is. It’s awesome because you’re awesome. You’ll also be working with an editor to cut together the footage that you shoot.
