We’ll team you up with a real Hollywood screenwriter and the two of you will work on a screenplay. You’ll also shoot and edit key scenes from your script to show to investors/studio executives.
And the best part? At the end of the program, we’ll actually arrange a meeting for you with a real studio exec. That’s right. You and a Hollywood big wig in a room chatting about your film.

Charlottesville, Virginia is located in the north-central part of the state, hosting a population of roughly 40,000 people. Although not large in size, Charlottesville is a town rich in history, having been the home of no less than three of the early American Presidents. Charlottesville enjoys a diversity of scenery within driving distance, ranging from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Atlantic coast, and is also within range of larger cities such as Norfolk, Baltimore and Washington, DC--making it central for finding filming locations. Entertainment professionals that have ties to this area include Rob Lowe, Sissy Spacek, Jessica Lange and Sam Shepard.
Not only is Charlottesville home to several production companies, but a significant number of movies, TV shows, commercials and documentaries have been filmed in Charlottesville and surrounding regions of Virginia. A sampling of these films include Major Payne, A Kiss Before Dying, Evan Almighty, True Colors, and the film classic Giant, just to name a few. Whether your interest in filmmaking is in directing, producing, editing, camera work, special effects or lighting, plenty of opportunity awaits you in Charlottesville.
