This isn’t a boring Eugene film school classroom. This isn’t an overcrowded college laboratory. This is life. Real Life. YOUR LIFE.

Think you need to be in L.A. or New York to launch a career in film? Think attending a top film school or a very expensive one is the only way to go? You do have options and no, you don’t have to go deep into debt either. We’re Film Connection, offering mentor-led externship-based training in filmmaking. We’re far from the average film school. Our film school alternative gets you training with industry professionals by placing you in real-world filmmaking environments. Want to learn cinematography or get what it takes to start building a career as a DP? Consider our Film Connection for Cinematography program. Want the brass ring? Then perhaps the Film Connection for Film Production & Editing is the program for you. Persons accepted into the latter program will collaborate with local mentors as well as a dream mentor in Los Angeles or New York. At the certificate program’s end, they could even have the opportunity to pitch their idea before an industry executive. That’s something most film school graduates dream of and we do it all for less time and less money than most conventional schools and programs. Turning dreams into achievable goals is what we do!

Get Real World Film Production Experience in Eugene

Located in western Oregon, the city of Eugene is home to the University of Oregon and hosts a population of around 150,000 people. Natural beauty surrounds this place, with mountains and buttes nearby, and the Pacific coast not far away–making it a popular area for on-location filming. With the frequent film and television production activity, it’s an excellent alternative to the craziness of Los Angeles for those who want to become film directors, film producers or film editors.
