We’re Film Connection Film School in Flint, MI brings together aspiring filmmakers and local professionals in a unique mentor setting that’s turning the industry upside-down!
If you’ve got a specific focus that you’d like to explore, you can try our 6-month behind-the-scenes program. You’ll be working closely on your personal project with local mentors who will meet with you in their studios or production houses. Those who want the complete package will want to try our 8-month director program. This track brings your idea from inception to the screen and culminates in an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles for your very own pitch meeting with industry executives. No other program anywhere offers this level of professional connections to its students.

Located in east-central Michigan not far from the "thumb" of the lower peninsula, the cities of Flint, Saginaw, and Bay City have a combined population of nearly 200,000 people. Together, they also form the Flint-Saginaw-Bay City television market. Entertainment industry pros hailing from this area include filmian Stevie Wonder, filmmaker Kerry Conran, TV personality Bob Eubanks, actors Nancy Kovack, Sandra Bernhard, and Matthew Glave, and the original "Bozo the Clown" Bob Bell. The Flint-Saginaw-Bay City area benefits from Michigan's attractive tax incentives for film projects, and several production companies make their home in this area. Movies, commercials, TV shows, and documentaries are filmed in the Flint-Saginaw-Bay City area on a regular basis, as well as in the surrounding regions of Michigan.
