We’ve partnered up with production companies in the area to deliver a film school that provides you with professional contacts in addition to technique.
If you’re interested in working behind the scenes, our 6-month program is for you. Working professionals will mentor you in your discipline and give you an opportunity to work alongside them in their studios or production houses in order to give you a taste of what it takes to work in the entertainment business. There is simply no program anywhere that offers this kind of industry exposure to its students.

The director program runs for 8 months and offers more to our students. You’ll have mentors that will be guiding your project through regular meetings all the way to L.A. for a pitch meeting with industry people. How’s that for an education? You go through the steps that usually take years in just eight months!
Located in southeastern Idaho near the Montana border, Idaho Falls and nearby Pocatello have a combined population of over 100,000. The mountainous surroundings and semi-arid sunny climate make this a great area for finding locations for filming. Despite its seemingly remote location, the Idaho Falls-Pocatello area is home to several film/video production companies, making this a surprising alternative to larger metropolitan areas if you’re considering a career in filmmaking as a film director, film producer, film editor, or cameraperson.
Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and nearby areas are potential sites for major movies, commercials, TV shows, and documentaries. Indeed, numerous well-known movies have been filmed in Idaho. These include (just to name a few): Bus Stop, Ghost Dad, Dante’s Peak, Smoke Signals, Northwest Passage, and Napoleon Dynamite. Additionally, Idaho is home to no less than seven annual film festivals.
With beautiful scenery and production facilities close by, the Idaho Falls and Pocatello areas are naturally friendly to professional filmmakers and film students alike. Why go anywhere else to learn filmmaking?
