The Indianapolis Film Connection also provides an extensive inventory of equipment for use during their coursework. From cameras and lenses to lighting rigs and sound kits, it is essential that filmmakers have access to top-notch tools if they want to produce professional quality films. With access to digital editing suites and other post-production tools as well as HDTVs for playback, there is no limit on what can be accomplished through this program's resources alone.
And you’ll be using that equipment in professional situations. You aren’t here to try out the gear while working with other students. You’re here to learn about how films are made today, how to use the gear during professional productions, and how to get the most out of everyone on set or on location. This isn’t a classroom, it's real life.
We want you to take in as much as you can, from the technical side of filmmaking to the creative aspects that keep the audience glued to the screen. Once the fundamentals of filmmaking are mastered, the mentors provide guidance on how to take those skills out into the real world – offering valuable advice on how to network and navigate through the business side of film production.
