Don’t Spend More on your Film Education if You Don’t Have to

Your first option is our 6-month behind-the-scenes track. You will work closely with mentors who are working film professionals in the concentration that you select. Our more comprehensive option is the 8-month director program. You will begin with a project in a genre that you have chosen. Under the guidance of your local mentors, you will write, direct, and edit this project and end up in L.A. in your very own pitch meeting. There is simply no film program anywhere that offers this level of professional guidance and insider access. Hollywood veterans spend years in the filmmaking trenches to get these kinds of meetings with no guarantee that they’ll even hear back from the executives that see them. You will be working toward closing your deal from the moment you sign on to learn with The Film Connection.

Learn the skills you need to take your idea from paper to the big screen.

Real world film education by filmmakers for filmmakers, optimized for today!

Meridian, Mississippi is located in the east-central part of the state, not far from the Alabama state line. The population of Meridian itself is around 38,000 people, but the Meridian DMA media market reaches up to a half-million people in the surrounding areas. Scenic countryside, coastal areas, and several major cities are all within driving distance of Meridian, making it a good central hub for location filming; additionally, several production companies make their home in this area. If you are considering becoming a film director, film producer, film editor, or cameraman, there is plenty of opportunities to learn filmmaking in Meridian without having to relocate to the craziness of Los Angeles or New York.
