Monroe, Louisiana is a town of approximately 51,000 people, located in northeast Louisiana about 100 miles east of Shreveport. It is located within driving distance of major cities like Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Little Rock, with plenty of natural beauty in between, making it a strategic spot for location filming. Additionally, Monroe benefits from the support of both state and local film offices, plus a generous tax incentive plan from the state, which makes the area very attractive to filmmakers.
