With mountains, urban areas and coastline all within a short drive, this area is excellent for diversity in filming locations. The number of Film Schools in San Jose pale in comparison to Los Angeles about 8 hours to the south, but professional filmmaking still has a significant presence in San Jose. Numerous film and TV production companies make their home in San Jose.
